Colour coding

All dash symbols are coded in three basic groups for initial indication - red, yellow/orange, green/blue similar to the traffic lights.
  • Red - potentially serious problem / system failure or safety issue. Also it could show important reminder.
  • Yellow/orange - indicates upcoming servicing or system repair. If any of the symbol is flashing please contact us, it may require immediate diagnosis.
  • green/blue - information symbols, showing that a system is on or is operating.

If any of the symbol is flashing please. DAF XF95 EBS braking fault. The customer complained of an EBS braking fault which occurred intermittently. When the fault occurred then the EBS light would illuminate on the display and the EBS function would revert to conventional braking. This fault had been a problem for some time. I’ve seen my fair share of dashboard DPF warning lights but this is something else! What does it do? That little button right there is a manual DPF regeneration / cleaning button. It’s used to perform a manual DPF regen on the filter whilst the car / truck is stationary, a bit like a dealer regen but without the fancy laptop / equipment. The warning light flashes and the beep sound is activated for about 5 seconds if there is a problem with the system. If the warning light flashes and the warning sound is activated, immediately depress the brake pedal and stop using the AUTOHOLD function then contact an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer.
